About Environmental Affairs Department

The Environment Affairs Department (EAD) is a government agency established to exercise general supervision and coordination of all matters relating to the environment, natural resources and climate change management.

It promotes environmental stewardship and executes its  mandate through various approaches and strategies. Among others, it promotes conservation, sustainable use, and protection of the environment and natural resources in line with the Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs) and Malawi 2063.
