Malawi has launched its first-ever National Greenhouse Gas Inventory System (GHG-IS). The launch took place in Lilongwe on 4th April 2019 and it was presided over by the Chief Director for Environment and Climate Change Management, Mr Bright B. Kumwembe.

The GHG-IS is a very important planning, decision-making and resource mobilisation tool for both public and private institutions.
