CALL FOR PROPOSALS UNDER THE CLIMATE CHANGE INNOVATION CHALLENGE WINDOW

The Climate Change Research Innovation Challenge Window aims to enhance the Country’s adoption of technological solutions and approaches that stimulate low carbon development and facilitate green growth. The Window supports nature-based solutions that are capable to:

  • transform current adaptation practices to a more innovative approach;
  • restore ecological integrity of land and forests while improving human wellbeing through multifunctional landscapes;
  • build resilient infrastructure in the face of climate induced disasters; and
  • turn waste into wealth.

The National Climate Resilience Programme (NCRP) therefore, would like to move beyond information sharing at national Symposia to promoting and financing applied research as well as providing a platform of engagement between applied researchers and Policy makers.  NCRP has a budget of 100,000 USD to be disbursed to winning innovative ideas in 2021 as detailed in this call for proposals. The second call of proposals will prioritize innovations in climate change adaptation and mitigation in Waste, Forestry, Agriculture, Water, Technology Development and Transfer and Infrastructure sectors.   Click here for more information.
